At Bailey Orthodontics, the Invisalign process starts with a consultation so we can see if Invisalign is the right fit for your smile. From there, we take digital scans of your teeth, create your custom treatment plan, and order your aligners. Once your aligners arrive, you will wear them as instructed and switch to a new set every 1–2 weeks. You will come in for regular check-ins so we can monitor your progress and keep your treatment moving smoothly.
Treatment time can vary depending on your smile and treatment goals, but many Invisalign cases are completed in about 6 to 18 months. During your consultation, we can give you a more personalized estimate.
Invisalign aligners should be worn for 20–22 hours per day for the best results. You should only remove them to eat, drink anything other than water, brush, and floss.
Most Invisalign patients come in about every 6–10 weeks so we can check progress and make sure treatment is staying on track.
You can clean your aligners by gently brushing them with a soft toothbrush and rinsing them with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, since it can warp the plastic. Keeping your teeth clean before putting your aligners back in is important too.
If you lose an aligner, contact our office as soon as possible. We will let you know whether you should move to your next set or wear your previous aligner until a replacement plan is made.
